Development

Matt Piercy Racing offers driver development programs, driver coaching services, and chassis setup for Limited & Late Model Stock Cars to our clients across the Southeast.  In 2021, Matt Piercy Racing teamed up with 14 year old Katie Hettinger to score her first Limited Late Model victory in the prestigious Bobby Isaac Memorial Race and her first Late Model Stock Car win just a few weeks later; both at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway.  Under the guidance of Matt Piercy Racing, Hettinger became the youngest female winner at Hickory Motor Speedway, as well as the youngest female winner in the history of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly series, dating back to 1982.

Matt Piercy Racing, led by Matt Piercy, understands what it takes for a young driver to succeed and work their way up the proverbial NASCAR ladder.  As a former race engineer at Hendrick Motorsports, Kyle Busch Motorsports and current engineer at General Motors for their NASCAR program, Piercy has significant motorsports experience. He has worked with the likes of Kasey Kahne, William Byron, John Hunter Nemechek, Chandler Smith, as well as others.  A former driver and track champion himself, Piercy understands the process and solid foundation that a young driver must lay as they embark on their journey to break into one of NASCAR’s top three series.  Whether it’s a single test session or a season-long endeavor, Piercy puts his clients first and takes pride in molding them into winners, both on and off the track.  With well-grounded driver coaching and first-class equipment, Matt Piercy Racing custom tailors each program to fit our clients individual skill set and aptitude(s).
